Do You suffer from “Text Neck” ?

July 20th, 2016

The term “text neck” was first coined in 2008 as described in an article on CNN. It describes a condition of neck pain and or headache that occurs due to the poor positioning of the neck while using phones, i pads, etc. The neck is flexed forward placing significant stress on the neck and upper back. The human head may weight 10-12 pounds but the pressure through the neck may double with every inch the neck is flexed forward. As Physical therapists, we assess your condition and provide a comprehensive program designed to alleviate your pain and maximize your function. If you think are suffering from “text neck”, don’t wait until the pain is severe- get attention as soon as possible!
